Singapore/Hong Kong trip

All right, so I’m finally getting back to my blog after all of my trips and I have to say, the jetsetter thing is extremely tiring.

We spent a week in Singapore where we enjoyed a lot of sightseeing, shopping and family bonding. It’s so clean in Singapore!! It’s ten times better than US, and no offense, the people seem to be a bit nicer there too. We went with my grandma’s, so the heavy touring was limited, but nonetheless, we had a very chill vacation with Tita and Tito, so it was still a very good experience. So all in all, the major places we saw were the Merlion, Singapore Zoo, and Ocean Park, which were all pretty cool. The whole time we commuted, so we took the LRT, which are those electric railed trains that travel above the city, and the MRT, which is like the subway. I seriously got those to mixed up for a while. Another thing that I enjoyed very much was the food. They had these Kopitiam thingies where you could order noodles, or get those point-point foods where you literally point at which foods you like, and a separate drinks place. I don’t think I’ll forget the chili crab that I ate and the cereal prawn too. All the food there was good and I believe that Singapore was the initial location and responsible city as to why my jeans are getting a little tighter and why I’m wearing looser shirts 🙂

Not even a week after Singapore, my auntie decided that we should go to Hong Kong to visit their older brother. So we spent 3 long tiring days in Hong Kong where we practically walked everywhere. For the most part, we spent a majority of the time doing sign language just to be able to order the right food and another thing I won’t forget is the extremely crowded streets. We went to Disneyland, which was a smaller version of the Disneyland in California, and Ocean Park, which was slightly more exciting than Disneyland. We did do a lot of shopping, which meant a lot of walking and even though I’ve apologized to my feet repeatedly for punishing them for three consecutive days, the sales that we saw there were oober nice and exceptionally good, so it was all worth it. The final highlight of that trip was seeing my half uncle and his family. We had an awesome traditional ten course chinese dinner like the ones I have in San Gabriel, except this one was like a fifteen course meal and we had all the best kind of chinese food, like the lobster noodles, scallops with vegetables, shark fin soup and like a bajillion more. I have to say though, the fight for the check was pretty funny and the most entertaining part of that day. Man, that trip was one good experience and even though it was extremely tiring I’d do it all over again in a second.
